What Is Research Skill? It Is A Motivation Of Continuously Working On An Unknown Solution With A Specific Research Problem Or Research Interest With Problems And, Additional Research Problem(s) If You Are Lucky During Your Way To Find The Research Solution.

If you are afraid of you can't find the research solution of the research problems, then, you are not a good researcher with the right attitude.  Good research output from the right attitude researchers is no time frame, no due date and no KPIs.  It is a type of passion to solve worldwide social problems by proposing your research solution if it is a new, innovative and real problem-solving proven result no matter which research domain you are into. 

If you do not have the right attitude to become a good researcher, then, do not aim to become a researcher and do not go after your Ph.D. study because a good research solution or output means no time frame, no due date and no KPIs.  Of course, we have many good researchers who can solve a Ph.D. study just within a minute yet, they are well-trained by passing research stages step-by-step and they are senior/ principal researchers or professors.  A good professor or senior/ principal researcher will not tell you how to solve a research problem step-by-step, yet, they will give you keywords such as "BRIDGE THE GAP" for you to trigger your imagination, your problem-defining skill in detail since you are the one who had proposed the research interest with problems under your stated proposal to solve them one-by-one with a planned schedule right after you have identified the problem statements.  If you can do anything on time, you are a planner, strategist, problem solver and decision-maker.  If you can't finish on time as you have planned, you are only a researcher.  Hope that all these are meaningful to you!  I did not get an offer to be a researcher in Germany mainly because my technical skill as a Technical Specialist is far more precious and appreciated in Europe especially in Germany than a researcher position which I had the offer to be part of the Porsche and Rolls Royce Research and Development (R&D) team there in Germany.   

These are my words and experience in research, hopefully, we can have more people in Scientific, Engineering and Technology research since we are encouraging Science learning, research and implementation worldwide through passion NOT aiming for high pay annually because research might not lead you to a research output; please have this in your mind.  Of course, we never forget research initiatives in Social and Humanities.  Social and Humanities are under Science too.
