Al-Quran states that a Muslim man can have more than one wife with the condition of the man is able to take care of all his wives and his wives' family members. Al-Quran highlights that only one wife in your life if it is possible. If you have more than one wife as a Muslim, you are helping the community to reduce poverty means all your wives are from poor family.

I met a Muslim in LRT recently. He introduced himself as YY. He said YY means Yusri Yusof. He is 55 years old now and he doesn't want to get married mainly because he doesn't want children.
He said if I can find him a girlfriend who is not expecting to become his wife, he is keen to start a relationship with her. To him, money is not a problem because he is rich. He said he is not a good Muslim because he like to have sex with multiple sex partners at the same time and not being responsible for that. His meaning was he want to have one night stand with any women; i.e. after having sex, then, no more connection or relationship between each other. He only want sex. He does not like the responsibilities to become a boyfriend or a husband of one woman only.
I told him that he can marry 4 wives. He said the responsibilities of having 4 wives are huge and heavy. He insisted to have one night stand only. He has a good communication skill and he know exactly what he want in his life. Thus, he deserve a successful businessman's title.
He never force me to have one night stand with him after I rejected his request during our meeting inside a compartment of LRT. He asked before he acted. He never try his best to sexual harassed me, however, he was telling the truth about himself, who he is and told me on he only welcome successful women who want to have one night stand only. I rejected him for a few times because he asked me for one night stand for more than one time. After that, he blocked me in his Whatsapp.

During the old days, by having more than one wife is to help those women and families who are poor to grow big and strong to avoid bullying and white eyes, i.e. the protected group. Not all poor people were being bullied and received white eyes and yet, the best solution at old days was having a daughter in the family to get married to a rich man. Not all Muslim men who married 4 wives must be rich and, I know some policemen have four wives too. Policemen can protect their wives and their related families.
