Merit Cum Advocacy Scholarship

You can check from my Linkedin profile (https://www.linkedin.com/in/wonghuishin/), I have received a total of 5 Merit Cum Advocacy Scholarship and Awards i.e. MUST-Ehsan Foundation Scholarship (2003-2005), MMU Postgraduate Scholarship (2011-2015), Linda Latham Scholarship (2012), Academic Visitor Scholarship (2009) and a Mobile App Development Second Prize Award (2014).

MERITs mean I am extremely good in certain domains so that I can get the scholarship or award because as a researcher, I must be excel only in one or more domains not knowing everything in the world as I do for sure.

Advocacy means you are the leader of this group of these groups of people so that whatever news you know, they will also know the news and whatever action you have done will impact your followers and form a better place for all your followers.  First of all, you must look for the problems within an ethnic group and form the research questions and form the solution for this ethnic group in order for you to be their leader.  

For your example, you are a Mental Health patient and you know that how bad treatment there is as a mental health patient, hence, you can nominate yourself as the advocate of Mental Health patients to take care of their feelings, needs and emotional support just like what many people are doing now.   

If you like Louis Vuitton fashion, you can nominate yourself as LV's advocate to promote poor entrepreneurs start LV founders with patents, i.e. the Intelectual Property (IP) and encourages people to respect patents and pioneers in business as well as the purchasing encouragement for the luxury goods such as all products of LV fashion.

If you are a good Christian, you can be the advocate of Christianity by promoting fear of GOD and trust GOD.
