As long as you are hardworking and honest, you can be a millionaire first, no matter which occupation you are involving especially through Research and Development (R&D) working arena.

If you are NOT scoring all A's during your primary, secondary and university level, you need to work in the job field for maybe 10, 20 to 30 years in order to excel a or many skill.  Research and Development (R&D) is a skill.

If you are scoring straight A's, you might not need to work for very long since you can learn all these skill yourselves at a very fast pace.  Scoring straight A's is gaining a competitive advantage and with at least one straight A's graduate in your working environment can enhance your other employee's learning ability since they can learn from each other.

Paper qualification with black and white could be not accurate if you do not evaluate his/ her working attitude and capacity to learn new thing.  Hence, when I hire my staff, I will have a few hands-on test.  Not that your transcript say that you are a straight A's graduate and I will trust you by hiring you.
