The most angry moment which I ever had!

I had once the most angry moment which I ever had in my life so far a few years ago.  When I was sitting in my office, I saw my second full marathon completion medal on my table and I threw it very strongly and hardly towards near the door.  I was angry because I spoke loud that and I told many people that I had done many marathons in my life.  In fact, at that moment, I only did many half-marathon.  My friend, Dr. Woon Wei Lee corrected me and he said half-marathon is 21KM and full marathon or marathon is 42KM.  After what I heard from him, I tried my very best to complete at least a marathon in my life since I had talked loud and I kept on talking to people that I joined marathons.  My life principle is that whatever I had promised and I had shout loud, I must complete and keep my promises on what I had said.

The moment when I completed my second marathon within the qualifying time, it was my first moment in my life that I felt something difficult and hard to achieve it.  I am always a top scorer and high achiever with full confidence and ease of life.  When I achieved it, i.e. when I completed a full marathon with a lot of sweats and training with almost very difficult feeling to complete a full marathon, I was ashamed and angry on what I did where I did not get the right information or read in detail when I received my certificates of participation.

Dr. Woon Wei Lee is my first Ph.D. graduate friend and Dr. Ralph Dixon is my second Ph.D. graduate friend.  According to them, my mistake on the interpretation of half-marathon and marathon is very common and also, the public's wrong interpretation of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor is very common too.  The public will think that Assistant Professor or Associate Professor is a Professor level too, however, each of them having a big gap to the Professor level.

Lesson learned: Reading in detail is a must!  As a leader, I must give the right information.  Keeping a promise is a must!  As a leader, I must walk my talk.  I make an affirmation for running a full marathon.  I made it with Standard Chartered Marathons many years ago.  I made it eventually.  I was angry because it was too difficult for me to complete a marathon and yet, I told people that I did marathons, in fact, I did not complete any marathons at that moment, but only with many half-marathons.

Due to busy schedule, I still owe a big container of self-made KIMCHI to Whey Lu.  I still need to find time to pass my book, "Sunshine Little Kitchen" to my cousin in KL Eco City.  I am still working hard to secure funding for my start-up, www.SoLemMi.com.  I promised a taxi driver that I will try my best to send his family and him to Bali for holiday through www.SoLemMi.com
