See, Think, Enlighten, then Follow (S.T.E.F.)

AsianOffBeat - Weird Stuff Straight Out of Asia!

Some stories are funny! There is some weird stuff in asia such as "Manga Farming Grows Plants from Manga Books ".

Check this website out!

Yes, I agree that we can improve ourselves by following what our role models have done or reading from some magazines and books. Have we ever suspects the genuine of the actions done by our role models? Have we ever suspects the genuine of knowledge from the books and magazines? Are we sure that we are following the right thing, right people and right trend? Are we sure that we get all the correct information? I have the doubt to differentiate what is right or wrong sometimes in various perspectives.

How about we train ourselves to become role model for our community? When we are one of the role models, should we do something which is good for everyone in the community? How do we know that we are doing the right thing or wrong thing?

We must go through the following steps, S.T.E.F. in order to determine the right things that we should do and the wrong things that we should avoid. "See, Think, Enlighten, then Follow (S.T.E.F.)!”

"See, Think, Enlighten, then, Follow (S.T.E.F.)!”

See - We see some plants grow on a book from picture 1. It is very interesting. This is my first time in my life seeing the plants grow on a book and not soil.

Think - We need to relate and apply what we have seen using the 4W1H (why, when, what, who, which and how). I have some sample questions and some sample answers. Each question has more than one answer. Those below are only examples.

思考 - 我们需要涉及和应用4W1H(为什么,何时,什么,谁,如何)与我们所看到的。

Enlighten - Is there some advantages for us to follow what they have done? What are the disadvantages? Are there harmful for our health? Can we grow the plants on book in Malaysia? Can we grow the plants on Oxford Dictionary rather than Manga comics? If we can not get the answers, we can ask people around us, we can google, we can check, verify and validate from some useful source. You may need to look for some teachers, some researchers, some lecturers or some experts in the field to ask more about it.

If you think that you are ready to follow what some have done and you are very sure that the consequences of following them will not harm you physically, emotionally and socially. Then, you can Follow.

Many people prefer to follow their role models instead of taking so much of steps to do the verification and validation. Of course, you are not wrong if you follow your role model.
